Dr. John Grassam, D.C.
Dr. John Grassam moved with his family to the Treasure Coast in 1983. Dr. Grassam is a second generation Chiropractic physician and obtained his doctorate in Chiropractic from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. After graduating in 1998 he did a brief internship with his father Dr. Ian Grassam while completing his national and state board exams.
Early in his career he took an interest in whiplash and focused his post graduate training in cervical acceleration/deceleration trauma, emphasizing biomechanics of injury, occupant kinematics, advanced diagnostic methodologies and case management of whiplash associated disorders. Dr. Grassam has participated in live human crash tests and been certified in low speed rear impact crash reconstruction. He continued advancement courses in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of motor vehicular trauma. He’s also had comprehensive training and certification utilizing digital motion x-ray to diagnose connective tissue injuries. Dr. Grassam is certified in establishing permanent impairment caused by injuries sustained from automobile accidents. He has successfully completed post graduate advanced training and national certification in non surgical spinal decompression traction and disc disorders by the International Medical Advisory Board on Spinal Decompression. Dr. Grassam has been in practice over 22 years and utilizes several different adjustment techniques such as Diversified, Thompson, Activator, Toggle, Flexion Distraction, and extremity adjusting.
Dr. Grassam helped raise two beautiful children. He believes that doctors should set an example by practicing what they preach, so when he’s not working he enjoys outdoor activities like biking, basketball, snorkeling and scuba diving.
He genuinely loves helping people and teaching them the fundamental principles of good health. Helping people recover from pain and get back on the road to good health is one of the most fulfilling aspects of his career.
